  1. Rugby referee.net staff do you know who was chosen to play the role of substitution controller and fourth official at the World Cup? I looked on several websites but I couldn’t find this information, not even on Rugby World Rugby website
Although the chance of them being protagonists is very rare, it may be possible for referees to be replaced due to injury in the game.
I would really appreciate it if you could get this information.
    Thanks RugbyRefs.

    • The FFR have supplied the subs controllers and there are Top14 and ProD2 refs ready to replace an AR if needed. AR1 would replace ref if he got injured. When France play, there is a neutral #4 on standby

  3. Do you have a link to the source of this information?
If you have I would really appreciate it. But even if I haven’t, just for having gotten this information I’m grateful.
In other sports such as football or cricket this information is much more accessible and transparent.
Perhaps because it is considered that the replacement of referees during games is very rare and with a fourth official when this replacement is necessary, he becomes assistant 2 and isn’t the referee’s immediate replacement, perhaps because of this World Rugby does not treat this information as who are the arbitration support officers at RWC with relevance
