The international window is back open (did it ever shut??) with a hanful of men’s and women’s fixtures. And that means the refs are back on their travels too. In Suva, Jess Ling (pictured top right) from Australia kicks off the women’s pre-WXV warm ups. The WomenBoks have headed to play Fiji for the first time on home soil.
In Osaka, Eoghan Cross (bottom right) takes the whistle as Japan host the Wallabies. And in Buenos Airies, Christophe Ridley (top left) will be hoping for a calmer evening than one of his peers did a few weeks back, as Argentina host the Springboks. Pierre Brousset was originally down for that one but has picked up an injury in the last week. There’s also an u18s international series being hosted in South Africa with a mix of SA referees being joined by Jack MacNeice from Ireland.
On the domestic front, we have a host of ties in South Africa’s men’s Currie Cup and Women’s Super League, plus another round of the NPC in New Zealand. Finally, the men’s and women’s championships in Finland are making good use of the summer sun as their competitions continue.
