Another couple of huge finals this weekend, and the kick off of a world championships, so plenty of interesting match official appointments to be seen.
Congratulations to Holly Wood (pictured top left), who referees the PWR final on Sunday, just 86 days after giving birth to her second child, and also to Luc Ramos (top right) who takes charge of his first Top 14 final.
It’s the start of the u20s Junior World Championship in Georgia on Saturday. There’s 11 travelling officials in country, with the TMO being run, as a trial, remotely from the UK. Round two is next Thursday (before next week’s publication goes out) so are included here too.
The international window creaks open as well, and there’s a couple of Barbarians matches and an All Blacks Māori team in Japan. Sam Grove-White (bottom left) is in the far east to referee that one. We also the referee treams for Rugby Europe 7s comps in Moldova and domestic rugby in South Africa, New Zealand (Aupiki) and Australia (Super W). In Gauteng, Zoe Naude (bottom right) refs in the Currie Cup match there.
