Appointments round up: 13-19 October

We’re onto the second weekend of Rugby World Cup 21 and all the referees are set for another round of pool matches. The big game is in Pool B as England play France, where Joy Neville (pic top left) will be watching that one up close and personal. There’s first RWC21 run outs for Lauren Jenner, Sara Cox and Amber McLachlan too.

Elsewhere, it’s semi-finals weekend in New Zealand where the NPC and Heartlands get to their penultimate weekends. Ben O’Keeffe (bottom left) and James Doleman have the NPC semis. In England, there’s one match less again following the suspension of Premiership side Wasps – a sorry state of affairs. Luke Rogan is on exchange to England at the moment (from USA Rugby) and was due to referee their Premiership Cup game midweek, but that’s now been scratched. The other exchange appointment is in the TMO truck, where Ireland’s Brian MacNiece will be supporting Wayne Barnes in the West Country derby.

We have a debut in the URC as Morne Ferreira (top right) heads north from South Africa to referee the Scarlets v Zebre Parma match. Go well Morne! Finally a shout out to Ukrainian referee, Borys Bovsunovskyi (bottom right) who is in Helsinki for the Finland v Denmark match in Rugby Europe. Those aside, we also have the appointments across the French Top 14 and ProD2, Welsh Premiership and the men’s and women’s top tier in Hong Kong. Am expecting Scotland’s appointments to be added tomorrow.
