Referee, AR & TMO appointments 9-14 July

With some matches already off this week, we have a depleted list of referee appointments for you. But, we’ve regained (at least as we go to print!) one match that was off, as the British & Irish Lions will play the Sharks again on Saturday after losing the Bulls as opponents earlier in the week due to positive Covid tests. If the match goes ahead, Wayne Barnes will referee the match after ARing the same fixture on Wednesday. There’s been various changes during the week in the Australian and NZ based fixtures as local lockdowns return and travel bans making appointments difficult.

In Europe, Craig Evans (top right in pic) makes his Tier 1 debut, refereeing England v Canada at Twickenham. Go well Craig!

The U20 Six Nations finishes off on Tuesday with England needing just one point to claim the title. They play Italy with Hollie Davidson of Scotland refereeing. Back in South Africa, on the domestic front, there’s Currie Cup action, and Women’s leagues – SARU’s Angie Bezuidenhout (pic bottom left) will referee the Free State v Griquas match. There’s also a round of Rugby Europe 7s in action if anyone has a free weekend in Budapest!
