Berry & O’Keeffe to referee Super Rugby Finals

Ben O’Keeffe has been named the referee for the 2021 Sky Super Rugby Aotearoa final in Christchurch on Saturday night between the Crusaders and Chiefs.

Across the Tasman, in Brisbane, Nic Berry will referee the Super Rugby Australia final where last week’s play-off winners, the Brumbies will take on the Queensland Reds.

The familiar pods will be working with O’Keeffe and Berry. James Doleman and Paul Williams will assist in NZ, with Damon Murphy and Amy Perrett on sideline duties in Brisbane. On TMO duties will be James Leckie and Brendon Pickerill.

  1. Why is a former Qld player and now ref Nick Berry in charge of a final?It instantly puts on the table his decisions and impartiality.Bad look for the game today when that’s the majority of the online chat.

    • It’s been 14 years since he played for Queensland- sure the keyboard warriors can find something more credible to complain about
