Aurélie Groizeleau has the middle match where Ireland run out with Scotland at the Aviva Stadium for the first time in a standalone test.
It’s SA Cup semi finals weekend where Dylen November and Stephan Geldenhuys oversee matters. The u23 SA Cup final will be refereed by Paul Menthe (top right), a stalwart of the SA panels.
Further down south, Jordan Way (bottom left) will be in the middle of the Western Force v Queensland Reds match as Super Rugby Pacific heads towards the business end of the season. And keeping going round the globe, the MLR and WER continue in the US. Robbie Jenkinson is in the States to referee the north east derby as DC host New England. Im sure he’ll be looking forward to some downtime after that after a hectic last few months stepping into the Women’s Six Nations for the first time too.
All those aside, we have Prem rugby round 16, with Luke Pearce clocking up match 170 as he refs Saints v Bristol. There’s Champ rugby plays offs for teams at both ends of table, plus there’s a couple of weeks left of France’s Top 14 and ProD2 action. In Italy, I may have said there was semi finals last week – my mistake, they were the ‘semi-final plays offs’, so the semis are definitely this week! And there’s men’s prem action in the Dutch Ereklasse which sees Germany’s Maria Latos head north west to officiate at RFC Haarlem.
