It’s play-off weekends in a few of the comps around the globe. The referees, ARs and TMOs are all ready for the Semi finals of the Top 14 in France and Mzansi Challenge in South Africa and the quarter finals of Super Rugby Pacific.
Brendon Pickerill (pic top left) will oversee the Fijian Drua who secured their first ever play off match. They will play the Crusaders who finished second in the final league standings. In France, Adrien Marbot (top right) has the La Rochelle/Bordeaux Top 14 semi final with Mathieu Raynal taking the Toulouse/Racing match. Dylan November (bottom left) will referee one of the semis of the Mzansi Challenge – a comp formed of the Currie Cup teams and selected additional guest teams.
It’s women’s finals weekend in France and we have the officials below (which in the announcement didnt display the teams involved – sorry!!) In England, it’s semi finals of the AP15s – two crackers expected there! Charlie Gayther and Alex Thomas will have the whistles in Exeter and Gloucester respectively.
In the US, its round 17 of the MLR and 6 of the WPL. Lindsay Oliver (bottom right) is in Boston for the latter, as Beantown host Chicago. We also have Rugby Europe 7s action which acts as an Olympic Qualifying tournament, so some of the most experienced referees are on hand to oversee matters.
