A lot of important referee appointments for the weekend’s semi-finals and play off rugby around the world.
In New Zealand, we have round two of the PAC4 series with Maggie Cogger-Orr and Amber McLachlan (pic top left) hoping for drier conditions than Monday’s round one matches.
We have the semi finals of Super Rugby (Nic Berry & Ben O’Keeffe), Premiership (Luke Pearce and Matthew Carley (bottom left)), URC (Andrea Piardi and Mike Adamson) and there’s a play offs in the Top 14 to see who makes next week’s semi finals. Thomas Charabas (pic top right) has one of the most important games in France as he referees the match to decide the final spot in next year’s Top 14. ProD2 winners, Stade Montois play off against the Top14’s second bottom Perpignan. Lots at stake there!
SARU’s Ashleigh Murray-Pretorius oversees the Final of the women’s league there as Western Province play Border. In the US there’s been some fun and games in the MLR this week as the Austin Gilgronis and the LA Giltinis have been expelled from the play offs for undisclosed breaches of the league regs. Therefore, Scott Green and Mike Lash have different teams to the ones they may have been expecting! The Assmus family are both in US action. Shanda (bottom right) is in US WPL action while husband, Chris is ARing in New Zealand for the Eagles v Wallaroos PAC4 match!
