The final weekend of the Six Nations and the referees in the middle are all in situ, with Matt Carley, Angus Gardner and Paul Williams closing off this year’s competition. All to play for, for those three as the World Rugby appointments committee gathers soon for RWC Selection meeting! Elsewhere, it’s a quieter week for northern competitions as it’s a gap weekend for both the Pro14 and the English Premiership. The French Top 14 continues with their top referees returning from international duties.
In the South, Super Rugby enters round five as Damon Murphy heads to Tokyo as the Sunwolves host the Queensland Reds. In the west, the South African referee, Ben Crouse continues his Major League Rugby exchange as Houston play host to the New Orleans Gold.
In England, the Premiership Cup – the competition for the developing Premiership players, reaches its final. Ian Tempest will be in charge of affairs as Northampton host Saracens. It’s semi-finals weekend in Malaysia – so good luck to the officials working with the teams to find next weekend’s finalists!
