A big weekend for rugby as the 2019 Six Nations and America Rugby Championship both kick off, and the referees will all be ready to go too. There are Men’s, Women’s and U20s 6 Nations matches this weekend with England’s Wayne Barnes and Luke Pearce and Jérôme Garcès of France, taking the top men’s matches.

South Africa’s Aimee Barrett-Theron is in Dublin, Nikki O’Donnell (both pictured left) in Glasgow and Sean Gallagher in Montpellier for the women’s matches.
The Americas Rugby Championship kicks off too with Joaquín Montes (Uruguay), Damian Schneider (Argentina) and Boli Anselmi of Argentina in charge.
Elsewhere, its weekend two of the US Major League Rugby season and there’s a sole PRO14 match as the two South African provinces play each other again with Stuart Berry, the referee. It’s Premiership Cup Rugby again in England, with three next-generation referees getting some opportunities – Adam Leal, Hamish Smales and Mike Hudson may be unfamiliar names to you at the moment. Maybe not in years to come.
In Sydney, it’s the World 7s for both men and women, and it’s great to see Amy Perrett back in the middle after maternity leave!
