Another busy weekend across the rugby world. It’s the final weekend of the 2018 6 Nations (Mens, Women’s U20s), the final of the Anglo-Welsh Cup, Super Rugby hits round 5, Top 14 in France reaches round 21, there’s a few Pro14 rearranged fixtures, and a full set of RFU Championship fixtures.
So, with Ireland already tieing up the 6 Nations following England’s loss to France last week. But, there’s a Grand Slam at stake so Gus Gardner (pictured) will have his hands full we suspect!
Craig Evans of Wales has been selected to referee at Kingsholm on Sunday as Bath Rugby and Exeter Chiefs fight for glory in the Anglo-Welsh Cup Final. He’ll be supported by Adam Jones and Gareth John on the sidelines, while Sean Bricknell is the TMO.
In Super Rugby, Japanese referee, Shuhei Kubo takes charge of the Chiefs versus Bulls match in Hamilton. The pick of the Saturday matches is the New Zealand derby when the Highlanders host the Crusaders at Forsyth Barr Stadium in Dunedin, with Nick Briant given the whistle. Fresh from their away win over the Lions last week the Blues travel to Cape Town to play the Stormers where Nic Berry will take charge of the match. The action closes with a Sunday match in Sydney when Brendan Pickerill will take charge of the match between the Waratahs and the high-flying Rebels.
