Another full list of summer internationals for you this week, with the final Lions warm up match, nine men’s and three women’s tests. Kat Roche (pictured top right) has the Laurie O’Reilly Cup match where the Black Ferns host the Wallaroos. Precious Pazani (Zim) and Emma Gallagher (Can) oversee the other two fixtures in SA and Brazil, respectively. It’s the final pre-Test warm up match for the Lions – Andrea Piardi (top left) will referee the match against, for the first time, a NZ & Australian invitational XV. Most of the other men’s matches are repeats of last weekend’s fixtures. In Edmonton, a new name for many – Gonzalo De Achaval from Argentina will referee the hosts, Canada against Belgium.
In South Wales, it’s good to see the 6N u20 Women’s series being used to develop match officials too. Wales’ Jess Kavanagh (bottom right), former Wales XVs and 7s international player will take the whistle in the day two opening match where Italy play England. Alice Torra from Italy and Siobhan Daly (Ire) have the other two matches. Finally we have Rugby Europe junior 7s, Women’s Premier league, and Currie Cup matches in South Africa.
