Only a few of the leagues are seeing any rugby action this weekend and the referees will either be hoping for early finishes (on New Year’s Eve) or laying off the celebrations ahead of a New Year’s Day run around. We have all the referee, AR and TMO appointments for the Premiership in England, the URC and the Top 14 in France.
One appointment of special note is in Italy where the match between Zebre Parma and Benetton will see a URC refereeing debut for Federico Vedovelli (pic top right). The S&C coach (for a leading Volleyball team in Northern Italy) will need to be on point for this one! Good luck!
Former Gloucester pro player, Nick Wood (bottom left) will oversee the RFU Championship derby in SW London as London Scottish play Richmond – the only match being played in that league. Elsewhere we have a full list in the Gallagher Premiership where Luke Pearce (top left) is action looking after the Saints v Quins tie up. In France, the Top14 has a full round of matches. Adrien Descottes will be refereeing in Lyon as they host Brive who’ll be hoping for a win to haul themselves off the bottom of the league.
