A ‘normal’ league weekend around the North this week as the Six Nations builds up. The same goes for the match official team who are all gathering in the north too, ahead of the tournament. Australian referee Nic Berry is on loan to the United Rugby Championship this weekend when he holds the whistle for the R11 Connacht v Glasgow Warriors game in Galway. While it’s not Jaco Peyper’s URC debut we think his first match on tour, so to speak. He’s in Ulster who play the Scarlets, as he prepares to officiate the opening 6N game in Dublin next week.
In the Gallagher Premiership, congratulations go to Ian Tempest who becomes the 17th member of the 100 Club. He’ll be refereeing Worcester v Northampton on Saturday. In the Allianz Premiers 15s, Holly Wood and Nia Parsonage (pic bottom right) will both be in whistling action as Loughborough play Durham Sharks and Saracens host Worcester. There’s also the RFU Championship referees and ARs too.
