One career finale and two top league finals to bring you this weekend. As the Lions series kicks of with a warm up against Japan at BT Murrayfield, the match will see Pascal Gauzere bring his refereeing career to a close. That will be his 53rd test in a career which saw him officiate at two Rugby World Cup tournaments in England and in Japan. Good luck for the future, Pascal!
On the finals front, we see Gauzere’s French compatriot Mathieu Raynal overseeing the Toulouse v La Rochelle Top 14 Final on Friday night. Matthew Carley will be refereeing the Premiership Final between Exeter and Harlequins on Saturday. Good luck to both! We’ve also got the Six Nations U20s and Currie Cup appointments too, with Aimee Barrett-Theron in action in the latter competition.
