Another busy weekend for match officials across the globe. At the Prince Chichibu Stadium in Tokyo, Matthew Rodden of Hong Kong oversees the second match in the 2017 Asia Rugby Championship as Japan take on Korea. In the UK, the Pro12 and Aviva Premiership are both near the end of their regular seasons as the semi-final play off participants become clear.
It’s round 10 of the Super Rugby season with Boli Anselmi of Argentina heading for a Bloemfontein to watch over the Cheetahs vs Crusaders tie up.
And in one of those historic matches that populate the global rugby calendar, Greg Macdonald of the RFU (pictured above) will whistle this years Army v Navy match – the 100th such match – which will be overseen by over 80,000 UK armed forces personnel. Hoping he doesn’t manage a 29-29 draw like last year.
