European semi finals – referee appointments

European Professional Club Rugby has announced the semi final referees for the Champions Cup and the Challenge Cup.

EPCR’s Head of Match Officials, Donal Courtney lead the selection committee which has appointed Romain Poite of France for the Saracens v Wasps semi-final at the Madejski Stadium, Reading on Saturday, 23 April, with Wales’s Nigel Owens taking charge of the Leicester Tigers v Racing 92 tie at the City Ground, Nottingham the following day.

In the Challenge Cup John Lacey of Ireland will referee Harlequins v Grenoble at The Twickenham Stoop, with England’s Wayne Barnes in the middle for Montpellier v Newport Gwent Dragons at the Altrad Stadium on Saturday, 23 April.

The final of the Champions Cup is scheduled for Saturday 14 May at 17.45 at the Grand Stade de Lyon. That follows the Challene Cup final the night before with a 2100 kick off time.
