Great to read this news from NamibiaSport.com and relates to some positive investment in refereeing from the First National Bank of Namibia.
The Namibia Rugby Referee Society (NRRS) has received support of N$50 000 from FNB Namibia for the upcoming rugby season from May to August 2013.
FNB Namibia at the same time pledged support of this amount for a three-year period from 2013 to 2016.
The NRRS also received a once-off donation of N$ 90 000 towards their playing gear.
Ingrid Goeieman, Manager Sponsorships and Donations at FNB Namibia said:
“FNB Namibia has committed itself towards the NRRS. We know that our support will assist them in the games that they have to officiate. This annual sponsorship is used to reward referees who officiate school rugby games.”
“FNB Namibia is a great supporter of sport, especially at school and development level and we are glad to be able to make an impact with our sponsorship,” she added.
Jacky Husselmann from the NRRS said: “The assistance we’ve received from FNB is much appreciated by the NRRS and we like to thank them for their willingness to again sponsor the referee society.”
