New Zealand’s Otago Rugby Union is advertising for a Referee Education Officer. The successful candidate will report to the Community Rugby Manager and will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Promotion and implementation of initiatives that increase recruitment, retention, training and education of referees
- Responsibility for the delivery of training, resources and services along with promoting best practice to referee associations, the ORFU, schools and clubs
- Education of players, coaches, media and fans in the Laws of the Game and the role of the referee
